Working visit of Kazakhstan’s State Secretary to Turkey

As part of the trip, the Secretary of State, at the invitation of Hakan Cavusoglu, Deputy Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic, took part in the Business Forum of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan and Turkey.

It was also attended by representatives of Atameken, the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges, government agencies and the women's business community.

In her greeting, Gulshara Abdykalikova has stressed that the President of Kazakhstan pays special attention to the development of bilateral relations between fraternal states, which have more than 25 years of effective cooperation.

The Secretary of State focused on the Message of the Head of State "New Development Opportunities in the Fourth Industrial Revolution", aimed at successful navigation in the new world - Industry 4.0. The new instruments aimed at digitalization of enterprises will be tested in this direction. The important role in this is assigned to the women's business community.

Gulshara Abdykalikova told about Kazakhstan’s state policy aimed at increasing women's opportunities. Today, 10.1% (43 people) of women are political civil servants The Parliament has 33 women or 22% of the total number of deputies. 43% of all small and medium-sized businesses are headed by women, who provide 31% (964 thousand people) of jobs. According to the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum, Kazakhstan ranks 30th in terms of "economic participation and opportunities of women".

The State Secretary noted that this year Kazakhstan is celebrating a special anniversary – Astana’s 20th anniversary. Astana is a symbol of Independence, the embodiment of Nursultan Nazarbayev's idea and the result of the entire Kazakh nation’s activity.

Innovative business projects of women entrepreneurs were presented at the forum, a constructive exchange of best practices took place, issues of further development of economic and investment relations between women's business communities of Kazakhstan and Turkey were discussed.

Gulshara Abdykalikova has also met with Ismail Kahraman, Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Hakan Cavusoglu, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and Fatma Betul Sayan Kaya, Minister for Family and Social Politics of Turkey.

During the meetings, the current state of the Kazakh-Turkish relations and prospects for socio-economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation were considered.
