The Head of State meets President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani

During the meeting, the leaders of Kazakhstan and Afghanistan discussed the current state and prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, transport and logistics, and humanitarian spheres, as well as exchanged views on pressing issues on the regional and international agenda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Afghanistan is a good partner and neighboring country. President Tokayev informed Ashraf Ghani that soon he will appoint a Special Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan.

Noting the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, the President of Afghanistan expressed interest in further expanding trade and economic ties with our country.
