Following the official welcome ceremony at the residence of the President of Belarus Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko held talks in the narrow format.
The President of Belarus emphasized that the volume of trade between our countries achieved the level of one billion US$. In this regard, Kazakhstan is ranked third among the CIS countries, after Russia and Ukraine in terms of trade with Belarus.
Then the expanded meeting was held. The sides discussed the issues on further development and strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian areas, as well as topical issues on the international agenda.
Following the talks, the heads of state took part in the signing ceremony of bilateral documents.
In particular, a joint statement of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of the Republic of Belarus was signed. Moreover, eight official inter-governmental and inter-ministerial agreements were signed in the course of the visit.
