Dauren A. Abayev
Dauren Abayev graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (2001), Leiden University (2006). He speaks Kazakh, Russian, and English.
From 2001 to 2003, he worked as Referent, Attaché, and Third Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2003 – Third Secretary of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan.
From 2003 to 2007 – Second Secretary, Charge d'affaires at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands.
In 2007 – Head of the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From 2007 to 2009 – Expert, Consultant of the Protocol of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Press Secretary to the President.
From 2009 to 2011 – State Inspector of the Executive Office of the President.
From 2011 to 2016, he served as Press Secretary, Adviser to the President.
From 2016 to 2019, Dauren Abayev held the position of the Minister of Information and Communications.
From 2019 to 2020 – Minister of Information and Public Development.
Since May 4, 2020, by the Presidential Decree, he was appointed as the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the President.
He has been awarded the orders of “Parasat”, “Kurmet”, and jubilee medals.
